The following table shows the prizes available in Double Play, along with the corresponding prizes for the main drawing. If there are multiple winners, the jackpot is split between them. This stays as a fixed amount in every drawing, even if nobody wins. The Double Play jackpot is $10 million and you win by matching all five main numbers and the Powerball. For example, if you match the Powerball on its own without any of the main numbers, you win $7 in Double Play compared to $4 in the main draw. In fact, the Double Play payouts are worth more than the equivalent Powerball payouts for six of the nine prize levels. Just like the main Powerball game, there are nine different ways to win prizes in Double Play based on how many numbers you match. It is held shortly after the main drawing. The Double Play draw works in the same way as the main draw, with five numbers from 1 to 69 and a Powerball number from 1 to 26 selected at random. The numbers you select for the main Powerball drawing are also entered into the Double Play drawing that takes place on the same night.
